Our goal is to promote the independent filmmaker while creating a diverse and cultured community through film.

History & Goals:

The Flint Film Festival was founded to celebrate the Independent film - long, short, fiction, documentary and animation - and to introduce a unique and varied spectrum of films and filmmakers to our audiences. The festival is committed to exhibiting films that express fresh voices and differing perspectives, with the expectation that these films will enlighten audiences, provide important exposure for filmmakers and exhibit inspired entertainment for all.

It is also the Festival's goal to grow culture in the Flint community through film by introducing films and filmmakers from around the United States and world.  The festival encourages filmmakers to meet their audiences and talk about film making and the film making experience.

The Flint Film Festival is five years strong and growing!  The festival is pleased to be here and look forward to growing in the future.  What began as a brainstorming session among friends has blossomed into an incredible event that receives more entries each year.  It is truly amazing what a group of dedicated, community-oriented individuals can accomplish with the right mindset.  The festival believes in the strength and endurance of the Flint community - and that through film we can effect change.
