Local film festival member Stephen Smith has landed a job in the Camera department on the feature film "All is Faire In Love" in Holly Michigan. The film stars Christina Ricci and Owen Benjamin and takes place in present time at the renaissance festival. The film is about a young woman (Kate) who is pressured by her father to work on Wall street while, all she really wants to do is attend the renaissance festival. The young woman meets an unlikely love interest, Own Benjamin at the fair. Benjamin's (Will) journey to the faire has been quite different from that of Kate's. Benjamin was sent to the faire by his history professor in order to make up for absences in his class... The two meet and fall in love after a series of funny gags and jokes.
So far this experience has been exciting and rewarding for Stephen. He has gained much incite into the filmmaking process as well as new technologies that are setting trends in filmmaking today. He plans to attend this Saturday's festival and is looking to do more work on features and his own personal projects.
